Das Interview ist dahingehend interessant, dass Fieldy erzählt, dass das neue Album sehr viele Up-Tempo Songs haben wird, d.h. – mit viel Tempo und Energie. “Nach dem Motto reine hoch und runter spring Songs zum abgehen.” – Zum Schluß sollten Ray und Fieldy Weisheiten des Lebens zum Besten geben. Ray sagt nur “Words of wisdom? – Wow! – Ich bin der Meinung, dass man immer positiv eingestellt sein sollte und positiv an die Dinge des Lebens herangehen sollte. Das macht vieles leichter.”

Ray hat mir geschrieben und sagt, dass er keine Interviews geben darf, bis ein Erscheinungsdatum für das neue Album vorliegt. Wo da nun die Logik sein soll, verstehe ich nicht ganz, aber es ist wie es ist… demnach müssen wir uns noch ein wenig gedulden.

Am 19. Februar spielte Ray zusammen mit der Cover-Band ‘Dean Guitars’:

Fieldy gibt gegen Ende des Jahres ein neues Solo-Album heraus und er sagt ganz offen, dass es nicht hart ist. Er sagt auch, dass er weiß, dass viele Korn Fans sein neues Album nicht mögen werden:

He adds, “I’ve always wanted to do it. When I was younger, learning bass, I listened to a lot of bass albums; Stanley Clarke, I grew up listening to that type of stuff.”

“I don’t want people to be confused and buy it and not like it. It’s not heavy,” he emphasizes. “I don’t want people to get it and think, ‘Man, I can’t believe I bought this crap’. It’s not meant to be heavy. If you like heavy and are not open-minded, you will not like this.”

For the upcoming CD, Fieldy multi-tracked lead and rhythm parts using a 15-string bass, stand-up bass and fretless bass.

“It’s insane, man. I did so many lead tracks and rhythm tracks,” he tells Noisecreep. “Sometimes, it’s chaotic. It kinda takes you on a ride through the CD, so you can have a mellow funk track next to a chaotic bunch of basses going crazy. Right now, I have 11 songs finished. I might do two more, but it’s pretty much done.”

Ray wartet noch immer auf Antwort vom Management… hoffen wir, dass sich das Warten lohnt!

Munky war mal wieder im Modlife-Chat und hat ein paar neue Dinge über das kommende Album erzählt:

Zum einen kommt vielleicht eine Single in ca. 3 Wochen auf den Markt. Er war auch nicht sauer, dass der Song “My Time” geleaked wurde. Er sagte jedoch, dass es um einiges bessere und vor allem härtere Songs auf dem neuen Album gäbe. Er konnte aber noch immer kein offizielles Erscheinungsdatum geben, da die Platte immernoch gemixt würde.

Darüber hinaus erzählte er, dass sein Solo-Projekt Fear And The Nervous System so bald wie möglich mit einem Debut-Album kommen würde.

UND: Dieses wird uns wohl alle freuen: Nach dem Mayhem-Festival in den USA würden Korn nach Europa auf Tour kommen.

Fieldy’s Bandprojekt wird doch nicht in Kanada als Vorband auftreten. Grund seien Probleme mit der Veröffentlichung des 1. Albums:

“Due to a delay in the release on the 1st StillWell single, the band cannot join KoRn on the Canadian tour…More info coming soon..”

Korn haben letzte Woche in Venezuela gespielt – krasser Wirbel um die Jungs – wir sind wohl wirklich verwöhnt! – “Die Legenden von Korn kommen!” – Nebenbei – die Fragen an Ray sind abgeschickt…..
